In order to bring the skills acquired at training centers and workplaces to the international level, an annual skills and innovation competition has been planned and is being implemented by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skill Development in association with the institutions under its purview. Those who succeed in the competition will be given opportunities to participate in the World Skill Competition. Applications for 2012 skills competition are now called and the national winners will be sent to World Skills Competition - 2013 in Germany.
Skill, Innovation Competition and Educational Exhibition
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development has organized a Skill, Innovation Competition and Educational Exhibition to strengthen the social image of the TVET sector and to attract potential youth towards the TVET sector. To improve awareness and enhance Skills development are some additional benefits of these events.

Skills Competition20 fields were identified for preliminary tests which have been conducted in 36 centers on 13th and 14th October 2012. All the participants were awarded with certificates of participation
